A delightful and elegant native, this grass thrives in dry shade. In the Spring, it is topped with gracefull feathers flowersthat are lovely moving quietly in the breeze.
Forms medium-height clumps of tufted green foliage with very fine, airy panicles. Foliage is semi-evergreen and plants tolerate more shade than most grasses.
Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips: This grass prefers a well-drained soil in a partly sunny location. You need to water it regularly until it is established, and then it will be almost maintenance free. Do not plant in a wet winter spot.
