Prairie Dropseed produces a magnificent fountain of fine-textured, emerald green leaves that add a graceful element to any garden. The seedhead has a slight distinct fragrance, that has been said to resemble, cilantro, coriander, or popcorn, or any combination of those scents. The highly nutritious seeds are sought after by a variety of birds.
